Gehad Hadidi is the owner and operator of La Bonne Soupe in Midtown and Huda in Williamsburg. A Detroit native and first-generation Syrian-American, Gehad lived in Damascus and Beirut, before moving back to the U.S. and landing in New York in 2013. He attended New York University, where he studied Urban Planning, and went on to work for WXY, an award-winning urban design agency.
After being fired, he followed his passion into hospitality which led him to become the owner of Midtown’s beloved La Bonne Soupe, and in Fall 2023 opened Huda in Williamsburg. Inspired by the terroir of his heritage and his love of welcoming bistros.
